We will always strive to be the company of choice for owner drivers. It goes without saying happy drivers means we have satisfied and loyal customers. Our business model is designed promote stability and longevity for our committed team.

The start-up costs including uniforms, decals, training and administrative costs are amortised over the initial 12 weeks from commencing with us. Once you’re established, there is a low administration fee for unlimited access to our online driver portal and job booking system. We have happy to outline your investment at the interview stage.

Yes. Our contract drivers are required to have their own ABN and be eligible to work in Australia. If you don’t already have your own ABN, you can register for one free of charge through the Australian Business Register, where you’ll find more information about operating with an ABN.

No. Unless you turnover more than $75,000 per annum, you are not required to register for GST. Contact the ATO or your accountant for more information about whether registering for GST is right for you.

Once your application to become a driver is processed, you’ll undergo induction training before being eligible to accept delivery jobs.

To lodge a successful application, you’ll need:

  • the right to work in Australia (citizenship, permanent residency or a valid working visa/passport)
  • an Australian driver’s license that is current and valid
  • to pass a drug and alcohol test
  • your own ABN (see above)
  • a clean police record
  • a clean and well-maintained vehicle
  • a reliable mobile phone with internet capability
  • appropriate insurance coverage, such as 3rd party and $10m public liability insurance

We provide a diverse range of courier and delivery services to our customers, so yes – you can register with any type of vehicle, so long as the cab is white or silver.

You can also register as many vehicles with us as you wish.

However, all or any vehicles you register require comprehensive insurance to protect your vehicle – and our customers’ goods – against accidents, theft or damage. Providing the vehicle is covered, the insurance and vehicle can be held in someone else’s name should you be using a rented vehicle, or a vehicle owned by a family member or spouse. You are also required to provide work cover coverage for additional drivers under your registration

There may be a number of reasons your application was declined, such as not meeting the criteria for eligibility. You may have failed a medical requirement or your vehicle may not be suitable.

If you believe you met all the criteria required to be a Felix Transport driver, then chances are we simply don’t have enough positions to fill at this time. However, we appreciate your interest in joining our team and will keep your details on record for consideration when more work is available in your area.

We have a diverse range of clients and jobs, so the work can vary, but we will allocate jobs suited to the vehicle you drive and your location at the time. For next-day delivery and dispatch jobs, our support team will allocate these the night before so you can plan your following day.

No. We offer you complete flexibility over your workload and schedule, but we do require that you advise what your availability will be (casual, part-time, full-time) so we can be sure to allocate jobs accordingly.

To allow our customers to recognise you as a Felix Transport driver, you’ll be required to wear the company uniform and safety shoes. We also recommend you have these things with you:

  • your phone, a phone charger and hands-free kit
  • load restraint equipment appropriate for your vehicle
  • safety-glasses, a high-vis safety vest, gloves, hard-hat, etc.
  • a trolley or cart if have a larger vehicle suited to heavier loads

This will depend on the type of vehicle you are driving and your commitment to the role, but you can expect to earn around $600-$800+ for a car/wagon, $750-$1200+ for a ute or van, and $1,500-$2,500+ for trucks.

We pay our drivers for each job completed during the week and transfer funds to your bank account each Friday
